Short Description:
\n<\/span>As a group, we will be exploring the challenges faced by Nepalese-Canadian youths as they explore their Nepalese and Canadian identities. Youths have continued to immigrate to Canada with their families of all ages, and some are also born here. As both countries have differences in culture, religion, and societal expectations, youths often strive to find a balance. Join us as we explore these challenges and provide anecdotal stories of Nepalese youth experiences in Canada<\/span><\/h3>\n

Speaker’s Bio:
\n<\/span>Aawaz is a Nepali youth group that aims to amplify the collective voices of Nepalese-Canadian youths in Edmonton. This group aims to foster a sense of identity and community through youth engagement by creating dialogue, hosting youth-centered community events, and exploring and practicing Nepalese culture and arts. A group of like-minded youths got together in June 2020 to start this group and amplify our own voices in our community.<\/span><\/h3>\n
