Sara Shneiderman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology and School of Public Policy & Global Affairs at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She has conducted research in Nepal for over 25 years, on themes of ethnicity, migration, and political transformation. Her current research focuses on post-earthquake reconstruction in Nepal. She is also involved with community-based research about Nepali-Canadian experiences in BC.

Rina Pradhan is a public health professional. She holds a Ph.D. from Monash University and has more than ten years of experience working in women’s health and teaching public health. She is currently a Research Associate at the UBC Centre for India & South Asia Research, exploring intergenerational changes and social wellbeing in the Nepali community of BC
