This presentation discusses and explores health care funding and benefits for the seniors and acute or long-term patients in Alberta. The presentation provides information regarding health care funding for chronic disease management, disability and seniors. Also updates eligibility for various government programs such as AISH, SCM, Home Care and Blue Cross Benefits and other financial resources available for Canadian Citizens. The presentation will also provide related information regarding contact, process and eligibility criteria for various benefits available in our province. Mr Poudyal will also invite open discussion and suggestions to explore other areas of interest to the audience.
Speaker’s Bio:
Mr. Prakash Poudyal left Nepal in 1996, after finishing MBA from Texas. He has been living in Edmonton from 2006 to present. He worked with the Government of Alberta for 4 years then changed his career to RN in 2010. He has been working with AHS as RN Case Manager and Team Lead since 2011. He worked with various AHS programs, mainly Self Managed Care Team while gaining experiences regarding funding and financial resources available in Alberta. for people like seniors and long term disability patients .
