Speaker’s Bio:
Aakankshya Kharel is a Nepalese Canadian youth currently studying Bachelor’s of Sciences at the University of Alberta. She is the recipient of Schulich Leader Scholarship, the largest undergraduate scholarship in Canada and she is currently completing the last year of her full-ride degree. In 2018, she was named Youth Ambassador of Canada to the USA and has since been heavily involved in various leadership positions. Among other positions, she currently serves as President of the University of Alberta’s Science Faculty Association and President of Read-Cycle, a local non profit. She is very excited to share how her leadership has played a role in her becoming a Schulich leader.
