Required original documents

1. Passport
2. PR/Work Permit/Study Permit

Please arrange the documents in the following order

1. Printed Application form (with barcode on it)
2. Copy of Passport
3. Copy of Citizenship/Minor Certificate (for Minors parents Nepalese citizenship, passport or marriage certificate is required)
4. Copy of your Canadian document (PR/Work Permit/Study Permit)

Very Important

Before visiting NECASE the applicant MUST email Passport form, Nepalese Citizenship and (if passport is required for minors), make sure to email nepal.epp@gmail.com first

Once Nepal Embassy approved the email with all documents forwarded in the prior step, the process of acquiring Nepali passport begins and NECASE. If reply is not received, please email with all the documents at nepal.epp@gmail.com

Payment

Payment for the Nepalese passport are processed via debit card (No Credit Card) and Bank Draft/Money Order to Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa. Cash payment will NOT be accepted.

• Passport renewal : CAD $220
• Passport lost/stolen: CAD $330
• Minors (Less than 10 yrs.): CAD $110
• Minors passport lost/stolen: CAD $165

Biometrics

• You will get your original passport and documents back the same day
• Some applications can be rejected by the Department of Passport for various reasons. In such cases, the applicants will receive an email notification. If you receive an email notification of the rejection of your application after the biometric enrollment, kindly forward the email to us (nepal.epp@gmail.com). You do not need to come to the Embassy for correction.

How to receive your New Passport

1. After the new passport is receied by Nepal Embassy from Department of Passport, email notification is sent to applcant.
2. Please send pre-paid express envelope (can handle the size of passport) addressed to yourself
3. Nepal Embassy, Ottawa will cancel the old passport and deploy new passport, sending back both passports in your pre-paid envelope to your address using the envelope you have sent
